COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Hello and welcome to UWSOM Dawgs Central, an all-in-one website created for medical students, by medical students. This website is meant to serve as your "one-stop-shop" for all things UWSOM (see our About page for more info!). A big part of the mission of this website is to connect medical students in a virtual environment that is not mediated or monitored by administration - hence our Forum and Blog sections. Since we allow you to post almost any thought that is on your mind, we do ask that you follow a few, very basic, community guidelines. These apply to posts in the Forum and Blog, as well as for feedback received in the Clerkship Feedback page. The only time a post or piece of feedback may not be posted is if it violates these guidelines. In that event, we will do our best to reach out to the original author to make modifications prior to taking down the post, as we firmly believe in the power of open and honest discussion and transparency!

The community guidelines are as follows:

1. No profanity of any kind.

2. No language that may promote to mockery, stereotypes, or prejudice against any one group or groups of people.

3. No posting of inappropriate images (use your best judgment here).

4. Posts in the "Blog" and "Forum" should be generally on the topic of the section they are posted within.

5. Posts in the "Clerkship Feedback" section should not name other medical students by name.

6. Rule of thumb on posting and commenting: Be civilized. If you feel embarrassed to say it to your grandma, then do not say it to your fellow medical-student classmates.
